We say this often to candidates, and it seems laborious but IT WORKS. We support employers with their shortlisting processes. Employers will be looking to match the candidates against the job description and person specification for the role, which you will see clearly on each job advert. If your application (CV and covering letter (which you can upload onto the message field) doesn’t evidence that you have undertaken duties for the role and have the skills and knowledge outlined on the advert; you won’t be getting a job interview. If you have your CV handy when you apply you can tailor each CV and covering letter to include these details, for each job your apply for and still not miss the deadline.
If you have done all of this leg work before getting to interview, you know you’ve done your best. If you still haven’t got to interview stage, it is likely because you’ve not been selected due to your lack of experience/knowledge/skills.
